The simple meaning of taxonomy is "classification". Bloom's Taxonomy is a classification of educational learning objectives proposed in 1956 by a committee of educators chaired by Benjamin Bloom. Who is Benjamin Bloom? He taught educational psychology in America. He was a well educated individual that made significant contributions to the educational objectives as well as the theory of mastery-learning. There have been several changes made to Bloom's Taxonomy, creating the revised taxonomy and the digital taxonomy.
